In order for this code to work, you'll need to have the "Famicom 4-player adaptor". Unfortunately, the NES four score adaptor will not work in this process. Once you have the Famicom adaptor connected, press and hold B on the 4th controller then reset your console. Then, on the first controller hold B and the ship should continue to fire.
